A Brief Introduction
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kinan Salim is an Associate Professor at INCEIF University. He has been engaged in a variety of projects and provided services to leading institutions in finance and Islamic finance.
Early in his career, Dr. Salim served as Head of Corporate Finance at an Islamic Bank. His transition from the Islamic banking industry to academia was motivated by the aspiration to bridge the gap between theory and practice in this emerging field and to contribute to preparing its most valuable asset: Islamic finance talents. Dr. Salim uses a data-driven approach in fostering innovative policies, products, and platforms that align with Islamic finance principles. Recently, he served as the SC-OCIS Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Oxford, UK, where he explored the intersection of sustainable finance, innovation, and AI in Islamic finance.
