The Graduate Excellence Program (GrEP) is a study sponsorship programme for excellent graduates who have been offered postgraduate studies (Masters and Doctor of Philosophy, PhD) at selected Higher Education Institutions (IPT). The Sponsorship will be in the form of a Convertible Loan which can lead to a reduction in loan amount based on academic performance and subjected to the approval of MARA.

The Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS)

• Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to attract top talents from around the world to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia. This scholarship is parallel with Malaysia’s aspiration to emerge as one of the global centres of academic excellence by attracting, motivating and retaining talented human capital from abroad.

• Interested international graduates with outstanding academic and co-curricular backgrounds are welcome to apply for this scholarship to further their studies in leading Malaysian universities and higher education institutions with the opportunity to enjoy Malaysian hospitality and a world-class higher education experience.

• The call for application for the academic year 2025/2026 will be opened from 10 June 2025 until 30 June 2025

The Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship (BYDPA) or known as the King’s Scholarship aims to sponsor Malaysian citizens who excel in academic and non-academic fields to pursue their studies at the Advanced Degree level (Master’s and Doctorate) at universities in Malaysia and abroad on a full-time basis.

The main objective of this program is to provide recognition to Malaysians who excel academically and personally to pursue further studies in fields that will benefit the country. BYDPA is a prestigious scholarship program compared to other sponsorship programs with advantages in terms of scholarship rates offered, eligibility requirements and placements in leading universities in the world. BYDPA recipients are also not bound to serve the Government but are required to serve in Malaysia in any sector after completing their studies.

General Terms

• Malaysian citizen; and
• Not exceeding 35 years of age on 1 January of the year of offer.

Special Conditions

(a) Have excellent academic results, namely:

(i) Master’s candidates: Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the Government with a minimum CGPA of 3.75 or first class or its equivalent; or

(ii) Doctoral candidates: Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree recognized by the Government with a minimum CGPA of 3.75 or first class or its equivalent;

(b) have received an unconditional offer or have commenced full-time studies in the year of offer at an institution of higher learning listed by the PSD according to the field of study;

(c) Studies at the Master’s level are in research mode only which requires the preparation of a research paper or dissertation or thesis.

(d) involved in the production of works that contain creative and innovative elements such as writing, artistic or technological design and so on, namely:

(i) Master’s Candidate: Active involvement of the candidate is an advantage; or

(ii) Doctoral Candidates: Candidate participation is mandatory.

The Khazanah Watan Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities.

The aim of the Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme is two-fold:-

1. To train Malaysia’s brightest talents to transform its GLCs into competitive business locally and internationally
2. To encourage individuals with excellent academic credentials to lead and participate in research initiatives that will contribute to the advancement of the universities’ reputation in research and innovation.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities
2. Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows:

Master’s Degree

1. Obtained admission to pursue studies at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered). Those who have applied to the universities but have yet to receive admission are also eligible to apply. In the event that no offer of admission from the university is received during our selection process, please be aware that the scholarship offer will become null and void.
2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree
3. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master’s degree

PhD

1. Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia. (Conditional offer can be considered). Those who have applied to the universities but have yet to receive admission are also eligible to apply. In the event that no offer of admission from the university is received during our selection process, please be aware that the scholarship offer will become null and void.
2. Obtained a Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 or ‘A’ grade average and/or excellent examiners’ report if the Master Degree is by research
3. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor’s Degree
4. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Doctorate programme

2. Business & Management Studies
3. Economics & Econometrics

Exclusively to pursue Islamic Finance Studies at INCEIF University (Professional Certificate, Executive Master's Degree & PhD – part-time or full-time mode of study)

• Education Financing up to RM100,000.00 & up to 10-year tenure

• Payment option of monthly profit servicing for the first 3 years.

• Eligible Malaysian students aged 18 and above with a minimum total income of RM3,000.00
