ISRA Research Management Centre
Premier Hub for Knowledge and Research in Islamic Economics and Finance
About Us
ISRA Research Management Centre (ISRA RMC), formerly known as the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA), was established in 2008 by Bank Negara Malaysia as a research institution specialising in applied Shariah in Islamic finance. The centre has gained global recognition as a premier research academy in the Islamic finance industry, earning numerous accolades. It has contributed significantly to over 200 Shariah research publications, including textbooks, journals, and research papers, which have been widely referenced locally and internationally.
Additionally, its I-FIKR Portal is becoming increasingly popular as a comprehensive online Shariah knowledge repository for Islamic finance. After the consolidation exercise between ISRA and INCEIF University in July 2021, ISRA RMC has expanded its research scope beyond applied Shariah to include areas within the Islamic economic and finance domain, including management, business and marketing, corporate finance, entrepreneurship, financial technology, econometrics, accounting and auditing, halal economy and social finance. ISRA RMC aims to be the global hub for applied research in Islamic economics and finance, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing and adhering to the best ethical practices.
