A Brief Introduction
Zubair Hasan (b.1932) is an Indian economist who has worked in Islamic Economics and finance since 1983. He received his education in India at Meerut College and obtained his M.A. in economics, M. Com, and Ph.D. Degrees from the University of Aga and Meerut. Hasan started his teaching career at Meerut College in 1957 and retired in 2015 as Prof. Emeritus from INCEIF, the Global University of Islamic Finance at KL, Malaysia.
“During the tumulut academic life, I worked in various capacities AT Meerut, Vardhaman College, Bijnor, UP, Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore. and the ZHDC College of Delhi University. I worked on deputation for two years in Iraq. My instinct in Malaysia has been the longest – 25 years – 1990 – 2007 at the IIUM; The remaining eight years at INCEIF. “
“Since 1983 onwards, I have published over 125 journal articles, contributed chapters to books, and presented papers at conferences.”
