Kuala Lumpur, 9 March 2026 –INCEIF University is proud to announce the appointment of Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan bin Haji Ahmad as Professor of Practice, bringing extensive experience in governance, banking, corporate leadership, and Islamic social finance. His appointment reinforces INCEIF’s commitment to bridging industry expertise and academic excellence in the global Islamic finance ecosystem.

His appointment strengthens INCEIF’s role as a global leader in Islamic finance education,” said Prof Dr Mansor H Ibrahim, Deputy President Academic & Dean of INCEIF University.
Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan is the founder of Masyi Group of Companies, which operates across multiple countries including China and Hong Kong. He has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector, including roles at Bank Negara Malaysia in strategic planning, human resource management, branch operations, financial intelligence, and financial crime enforcement.
He holds numerous advisory and governance roles, including Member of the Special Task Force on the Corruption Perception Index (CPI), Member of the Operations Review Panel of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), and Advisor to the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC). He is also a co-founder of Malaysian Corruption Watch, reflecting his commitment to financial integrity and anti-corruption advocacy.
A recognised leader in Islamic social finance, Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan actively develops the waqf ecosystem, integrating emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI, robotics, and smart contracts to increase transparency, restore trust, and enhance governance. He frequently speaks at local and international conferences and contributes to initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
His appointment is strategic for INCEIF because it bridges industry leadership with academic insight, particularly in the fields of governance, Islamic social finance, and entrepreneurship. By integrating practical experience with research and education, Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan will help shape innovative approaches to Islamic finance that are globally relevant.
As Professor of Practice, Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan will enrich student learning through:

Datuk Dr. Haji Mazlan holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Warsaw Management University, Poland, an MBA from the University of Georgia, Netherlands, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is also professionally certified through the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
