After contacting us, you will need to complete a Client Information Form. Your first appointment will typically be scheduled within 72-hours (depending on holidays and counsellor availability). If urgent support is required, ICMS will prioritise your session. Your initial session will involve an interview to understand your concerns and explore possible support options.
ICMS operates under a strict confidentiality policy. All information shared, including verbal or written records, is protected and will not be disclosed without your explicit consent unless there is a significant risk to your safety or to others.
ICMS is also available to INCEIF staff members. Counselling for staff follows the same confidentiality principles as for students—none of the information shared will appear in employment records and attending counselling is entirely voluntary.
If you are experiencing challenges related to illness, relationship stress, work pressures or personal issues, ICMS is here to support you.
We provide support for a range of mental health concerns, such as:
- Anxiety: Constant worry, racing heart or nervous habits.
- Depression: Withdrawal from social activities, loss of appetite, persistent sadness or irritability.
Counselling offers a neutral, confidential space where you can openly discuss your challenges without fear of judgment. Together, you and your counsellor will set clear goals and work toward productive solutions. Counsellors at ICMS respect your boundaries, except in cases where there are safety concerns.
Your privacy is important. Referrals to external professionals, such as psychiatrists, will only be made with your consent unless there is an urgent safety concern.
