Kuala Lumpur, 6 October 2026 – INCEIF University and Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS) have formalised their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to support the implementation of the Professional Certificate in Islamic Finance (PCIF) for UIS students.
The agreement builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between both institutions on 27 February 2026, marking a further step towards translating their institutional collaboration into academic and professional development opportunities.
Under the MoA, INCEIF University will contribute its expertise in curriculum development, learning materials, teaching, assessment and professional certification to support the delivery of the PCIF programme. The collaboration is intended to provide UIS students with access to structured professional learning in Islamic finance, complementing their academic studies.
The signing ceremony, held at INCEIF University, was attended by representatives from both institutions.
The agreement was signed by Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Mohd Azmi Omar, President & CEO of INCEIF University, and Dato’ Prof Dr Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, Vice-Chancellor of UIS.
The signing was witnessed by Prof Dr Aishath Muneeza, Associate Dean of INCEIF University, and Dr Latifa Bibi Musafar Hameed, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UIS.
In his welcoming remarks, Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Mohd Azmi Omar emphasised the importance of mutual learning and building on the complementary strengths of both institutions. He also highlighted the value of sustaining meaningful institutional engagement through initiatives that contribute to academic and professional development.
The MoA reflects the shared commitment of INCEIF University and UIS to strengthening Islamic finance education through institutional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
With the agreement in place, both institutions will continue working together on the implementation of the PCIF programme, further developing the partnership established earlier this year.
