INCEIF University is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Shazmeer Mokhtar as Deputy President (Operations) effective 1 April 2026. Shazmeer brings with him over two decades of professional experience, including extensive senior leadership roles across the financial, regulatory and corporate sectors.
His career is distinguished by senior roles at Bank Negara Malaysia and the Consumer Credit Oversight Board Task Force (now known as Consumer Credit Commission). Shazmeer’s executive career includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for several Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) and a multinational corporation, where he gained valuable international exposure and cross-border corporate experience. It is also worth noting that Shazmeer was selected for the prestigious Mosaic International Leadership Programme (founded by HM King Charles III, formerly the Prince of Wales).
A Chartered Accountant of ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, and MIA, Mr. Shazmeer pursued his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom before earning a Master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he was awarded the Edward S. Mason Fellowship.
He uniquely combines regulatory governance experience with in-depth expertise in corporate and Islamic finance, underpinned by corporate strategy, enterprise transformation and advisory consulting practice.
In his role as Deputy President (Operations), Mr. Shazmeer will lead the University’s efforts to strengthen institutional capabilities and operational excellence, supporting INCEIF University’s continued growth as a global leader in Islamic finance education.
