Kuala Lumpur, 24 June 2026 — INCEIF University officially launched the Islamic Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lab (IE-Lab), a strategic platform dedicated to nurturing ethical, value-driven, and purpose-led entrepreneurs.
The launch was officiated by Professor Dr. Mansor H. Ibrahim, Deputy President Academic of INCEIF University, marking an important milestone in INCEIF’s continued efforts to advance knowledge, innovation, and real-economy impact through Islamic finance.
Speaking at the launch, Professor Mansor highlighted that while entrepreneurship remains a key driver of economic growth, today’s complex environment requires business leaders to possess strong ethical foundations and a commitment to societal value.
IE-Lab is designed to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial development and Islamic values by providing a dedicated space for knowledge creation, innovation, capacity building, and industry collaboration. It aims to connect academia, industry partners, investors, and students to develop practical solutions that support sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The milestone event was well-attended by prominent industry leaders and key strategic partners. Among the distinguished guests present were Mohammad Faisal (Director General, Islamic Tourism Centre ITC) and Mahathir Amin (Director for Industry Development, ITC); Ziad Hafiz (Director of Investments, Khazanah Nasional); Ahmad Nazirul Mubin Ruslim (Head of the Business Zakat Division, Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah LZNK) and Zulkifli Ismail (Head of the Asnaf and Entrepreneur Development Division, LZNK); alongside Ainna Syahirah (RYSE Program Manager, Maybank ASEAN Research Centre, Asia School of Business).
Alongside the launch, the university introduced its flagship Immersion Programme in Islamic Entrepreneurship and Innovation to drive experiential learning, startup development, and deeper industry-academia collaboration.
