ISRA Corner Launched at UniSEL to Enhance Access to Islamic Finance Resources

Shah Alam, 6 February 2026 – Access to credible and authoritative reference materials remains essential in supporting the growth of Islamic finance education and research. In line with this need, an ISRA Corner was officially launched today at the Universiti Selangor (UniSEL) Library, Shah Alam Campus, providing UniSEL’s academic community with access to high-quality Islamic finance publications and trusted reference materials.

ISRA Corner is a strategic knowledge-sharing initiative led by INCEIF University, with industry support from CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad, aimed at expanding access to quality academic publications and specialised reference resources in Islamic finance. UniSEL is among six selected universities nationwide to benefit from this initiative through the establishment of a dedicated ISRA Corner within its library.

Speaking at the launch, INCEIF University’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr Raja Shahadan, highlighted the importance of strengthening the knowledge ecosystem to support the sustainable development of the Islamic finance industry.

“While the Islamic finance industry is growing rapidly, one of the real challenges is gaining access to reference materials that are truly credible and authoritative. ISRA Corner was established to ensure that students and researchers have access to resources that can support learning, research, and practical industry application,” he said.

ISRA Corner features a curated collection of publications, including books, academic journals, and specialised reference materials in Islamic finance. The collection, contributed by INCEIF University as a leading institution in Islamic finance education and research, will support UniSEL’s students, researchers, and academic staff in teaching, learning, and research activities.

CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad’s support for the initiative reflects the important role of industry players in strengthening Islamic finance development not only through products and services, but also through investment in knowledge development and future talent.

The initiative also encourages closer collaboration between industry and higher education institutions, particularly in bridging the gap between academic theory and the practical needs of the Islamic finance industry.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Ustaz Ahmad Suhaimi Yahya, Regional Head of Shariah Advisory and Governance, CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad, together with representatives from INCEIF University and UniSEL.
