Planting the Seeds of Knowledge: INCEIF University Launches SEED 2025

INCEIF Campus, 7 March 2025 – In its continuous effort to foster sustainable funding for Islamic finance education and empower future leaders, INCEIF University launched the Scholarship & Endowment Drive 2025 (SEED 2025).

Officially launched by INCEIF Board of Directors Chairman Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar at a simple ceremony on campus, the campaign is a part of INCEIF’s 20th anniversary celebration. It also marks a decade of the INCEIF Endowment Fund (IEF), reaffirming the University’s commitment to advancing Islamic finance education and creating a lasting, sustainable impact globally.

The SEED 2025 campaign introduces innovative ways to support education through the following initiatives:

Term Endowment – A flexible, contemporary giving model where donors contribute a minimum of RM10,000 for a fixed period (2, 3, or 5 years). At the end of the term, the full principal is returned to the donor, while only the profits are used to support students. Donors also benefit from annual tax deductions.

Wakalah for Knowledge – A pioneering initiative that allows recipients of Individual Wakalah funds from zakat collection centres (such as PPZ-MAIWP) to channel a portion of their Wakalah funds into a pooled education fund, helping students in the Fisabilillah category transform their lives through education.

Alumni-Driven Fundraising – A platform for INCEIF alumni to give back, ensuring future generations have the same access to quality education.

Few gifts have the power to create a lasting impact like knowledge. Education equips individuals with the tools to unlock endless opportunities, transforming lives and communities. For donors, supporting education is more than just an act of giving; it’s an enduring legacy of contribution to the greater good.

As a premier Islamic finance university, INCEIF is dedicated to enriching lives through breakthrough academic programmes and applied research. With a faculty of renowned thinkers and innovators, INCEIF ensures that its programmes, and its graduates stay at the forefront of the industry.

To maintain its reputation as a global leader in Islamic finance education, INCEIF will continue to invest in sustainable funding. The IEF serves this purpose by pooling contributions from staff, alumni, partners, and friends of INCEIF and Islamic finance.

Since preserving longevity is the essence of an endowment fund, principal donations remain untouched, while spending is sourced only from investment earnings. Donors can be assured that their contributions are Shariah-compliant, carefully managed, and dedicated to sustaining high-quality education for generations to come.

INCEIF University invites you to be a part of SEED 2025 and help shape the future of Islamic finance. Whether through a Term Endowment, Wakalah Contribution, or Alumni-Driven Fundraising, your support will nurture a legacy of knowledge and create a lasting impact.
