Two days of inspiration, innovation, and impact at INCEIF University Business Model Canvas Competition 2025

INCEIF University Campus – 11–12 November 2025

The Islamic Entrepreneurship & Innovation Lab (IE-Lab) at INCEIF University, an experiential learning hub that empowers students and partners to transform ideas into impactful, Shariah-compliant ventures, proudly hosted the inaugural Business Model Canvas Competition 2025 (BMCC2025).

The competition opened with an inspiring Keynote Address by Dr Noor Amy Ismail, Board Director of Wahed Invest, who shared valuable insights on Islamic entrepreneurship and sustainability, setting a strong tone for the learning journey ahead.

Sixty-one participants from more than 10 universities including from Indonesia then immersed themselves in a Mentoring & Refinement Session, guided by industry experts and academic mentors who helped sharpen their business models and refine their strategies. The collaborative atmosphere fostered creativity, purpose, and a spirit of innovation among all participants.

The following day brought an atmosphere of anticipation as teams made their final adjustments before taking the stage for the Final Pitch Session at The Lounge, INCEIF University. Eleven remarkable teams presented their innovative ideas before a distinguished panel of judges comprising:

  • Dr Harvinder Harchand – Director, LUSH Malaysia
  • Mr Ahmed Firas – Head of Shariah Department, HSBC Amanah Malaysia
  • Ms Nurshakira Hairuddin – Assistant Manager, INCEIF Action Based Learning (ABL)

The afternoon also witnessed the soft Launch of the IE-Lab, officiated by President & CEO Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr Azmi Omar, whose inspiring remarks reaffirmed INCEIF’s mission to nurture values-driven entrepreneurs who create real-world impact.

The IE Lab at INCEIF University will be the playground for our students’ ideas and impact, and the place for our industry partners to collaborate with purpose. It is also the platform for our supporters to invest in sustainability with integrity.

The event concluded with closing remarks by INCEIF’s Chief Financial Officer Mr Raja Mohamad Shahadan Raja Mohamed, who commended the participants’ creativity and reaffirmed INCEIF’s unwavering support for initiatives that promote innovation through experiential learning.
